There has been a great response to the competition. To date 8 entries have been recorded!!! This is a great result so if you are contemplating entering get building and send in your entry. Plans are available for free download on the following sites.
http://www.outerzone.co.uk/ http://www.hippocketaeronautics.com. If you are starting out for the first time then go to http://www.ffscale.co.uk/index.htm which has a step by step build of a Comper Swift and some helpful hints and tips. Another site http://www.stickandtissue.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl is a great site to get info on free flight scale "how to" articles. For best flying results chose a model with a + 30 inch wing span and high wing. A good selection of plans of this wingspan can be found at http://www.theplanpage.com/. I recommend the plans listed under Earl Stahal. I have built a large selection of these models which are easy to build and make stable flyers. The Interstate Cadet, Taylorcraft and Stinson Voyager are three that I recommend. If you require more information or assistance please feel free to contact either Mike Fairgray model1@windowslive.com or Don Spray drlmspray@xtra.co.nz.

HINT!!
When downloading plans use Adobe Reader XI which is available as a free download. This programme allows you to chose "Poster Printing" this will print the plans on A4 paper which can be taped together to make the full size plan. Tick the cut marks box and this will print alignment marks in the corner of each page which makes it easy to line up each section of the plan.
