Anyone have any advice on using Models for filming?

Anyone have any advice on using Models for filming?

Postby kirsty_cooper » Mon Dec 03, 2012 4:33 pm

Im shooting in around 8 of the Pacific Islands, and quite a few of the destinations don't have helicopters or even any aerial shots... we'd like to take up a model aircraft with a small camera rig-something similar to a gopro. Our Cameraman is keen to upskill and be trained how to control an aircraft

Anyone know what the best aircraft would be for this? Need to be portable!

thanks

Some form of Quadcopter is probably the go, but may not be the easiest or quickest to learn to fly.

What part of the country are you and/or your camera man based?

Someone in a club in the right region who can do the training is the first thing to find and you've come to the right place.

Some things to look at in the meantime:
